Twee vintage inconische witte Ribbon loungestoelen chairs Model CL9, ontworpen in 1961 door het visionaire Italiaanse ontwerpersduo Cesare Leonardi (1935–2021) en Franca Stagi (1937–2008) voor fabrikant Bernini. De zitting bestaat uit één vloeiende, sculpturale strook van gegoten wit glasvezel (fiberglass). Deze golvende structuur rust op een minimalistisch en elegant frame van verchroomd buisstaal. Dankzij het innovatieve materiaalgebruik heeft de fauteuil een licht verende, uiterst comfortabele zit.

Beide Ribbon fauteuils zijn in de jaren 60 tegelijk aanschaft als een paar.

Gebruikssporen aanwezig. Op het chroom zit licht het weer van beide fauteuils. Bij beide fauteuils is de bevestiging van de chromen voet aan de kunststof zitting (onderaan stootkussen) in het verleden gerestaureerd. Elke stoel is niet gemerkt, beide zijn wel origineel.

Two vintage iconic white Ribbon lounge chairs, Model CL9, designed in 1961 by the visionary Italian design duo Cesare Leonardi (1935–2021) and Franca Stagi (1937–2008) for the manufacturer Bernini. The seat consists of a single flowing, sculptural strip of molded white fiberglass. This undulating structure rests on a minimalist and elegant frame of chrome-plated tubular steel. Thanks to the innovative use of materials, the armchair offers a slightly springy, extremely comfortable seat.

Both Ribbon armchairs were purchased at the same time in the 1960s.

Signs of wear are present. There is slight weathering on the chrome of both armchairs. On both armchairs, the attachment of the chrome base to the synthetic seat (at the bottom cushion) has been restored in the past. Each chair is unmarked, but both are original.
